The logo was designed to have an emphasis on the bespoke and quality of service Edkins Millward provide. The diamond icon shape reflects this, the use of silver/grey creates a premium look and the turquoise accent colour adds a bit of personality to emphasis an approachable and friendly service. The font is formal, yet modern and clean.
When I design a logo, there are usually 3-4 designs created and presented to the client. On another design, the clients initials were placed in a script font which the client really liked but felt it wasn't the right approach for the main logo, so we decided to use them as a subtle watermark in the background. It helps to add a further touch of quality to the brand and is a nice device to used throughout the identity.
Business stationery are items very much needed for a law firm. The letterhead was designed for both print and digital use as businesses go paperless more and more. Business cards are still required at times and these were printed with a silver foil to reflect a premium service provided to all clients. The diamond icon is used as a nice device throughout the letterhead.
The client then asked for an advert design, for use within local publications to advertise the key services Edkins Millward provide. The image selected, using the diamond shape was intended to be a direct visual device, that all important moment when you get the keys to your new home and being in black and white means it blends in with the branded colour scheme. Further diamond shapes in turquoise continue the branding.
